Certificates of appreciation for the participants in the 4th Open Days of Media Literacy
The Regulatory Authority for Electronic Media (REM) issued certificates of appreciation to the media service providers and the RAB Serbia association for their contribution to the Media with Wide Open Doors campaign, which was held as part of the fourth Open Days of Media Literacy, in parallel with the celebration of the 30th Radio Days at Mt. Zlatibor from 26 to 28 October 2025.
This year’s 4th Open Days of Media Literacy, held from 06 to 10 October 2025, brought together preschoolers from Belgrade, Novi Sad, Užice, Niš, Kikinda, Prokuplje, Ruma and Pančevo, who visited the electronic media in their communities and got acquainted with the way they work, the role of journalists and the importance of responsible information provision.
A special contribution to the promotion of media literacy was made by the electronic media that opened their doors to the youngest and showed how the process of creating media content works. In this way, the editorial teams confirmed that they play a key role in building a media literate society, because they are the source of information that is closest to citizens, especially children and young people, and an example of professional and ethical journalism in practice.
During this year’s Radio Days, RAB Serbia brought together hundreds of participants, owners and directors of radio stations, editors, hosts, sound designers, as well as numerous guests from radio associations, media organisations and relevant institutions from Hungary, Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, North Macedonia and Romania.
The Regulatory Authority for Electronic Media and members of RAB of Serbia continuously contribute with their joint activities to the promotion of media literacy, enhancement of professional standards, as well as strengthening of the role of electronic media in Serbia in educating citizens and creating a responsible and informed society.
