Presentation of the Compendium on Promoting Journalistic Excellence in Zagreb
A representative of the REM Monitoring and Analysis Service attended the presentation of the Compendium on Promoting Journalistic Excellence in Zagreb. At the meeting, which took place on 27 and 28 November, at the invitation of the Agency for Electronic Media (AEM) from Croatia, the process of selection of papers, evaluation criteria and goals of the annual competition were presented, with professional exchange of views on current challenges facing contemporary journalism in the region.
In the AEM premises, there was also a presentation of the results of several years of international surveys conducted within the Women and the Media initiative, which include analyses of the position of women in sports, the manner of reporting on violence against women and the representation of women in daily news shows. The importance of regional cooperation and institutional exchange of experiences aimed at improving the visibility of women in the media space was highlighted, to which end REM conducted several surveys on the same topic within the Mediterranean Regulatory Authorities Network - MNRA (for more information, visit the link Analysis, study and recommendation of MNRA https://www.rem.rs/sr/izvestaji-i-analize/ostali-izvestaji-i-publikacije).
This activity is part of the ongoing professional cooperation of REM with regulatory authorities in the region, with the aim of exchanging knowledge, strengthening professional capacities and improving standards in the area of electronic media.
